Artist Bio

Mukul Barman is a contemporary visual artist whose work explores identity, silence, resilience, and the layered realities of human experience. Through expressive forms and symbolic narratives, his paintings reflect the emotional tensions that exist between the individual and society. Working primarily in painting, he often uses contrast, texture, and minimal color palettes to communicate unspoken stories and inner conflicts. His practice is deeply rooted in social observation and personal reflection. Mukul’s works frequently address themes such as transformation, social pressure, vulnerability, and strength—particularly focusing on the unseen struggles that shape human identity. He believes that art is not only a visual expression but also a silent dialogue between the artwork and the viewer.

Threads of Identity with Arianne Cope

Arianne Cope is a painter, fiber artist, shepherd, and mother living in the Missouri Ozarks. She spends her days raising sheep and angora rabbits, spinning and dyeing wool by hand, and creating paintings inspired by the entire journey. Her work captures the rhythms of farm life, and the relationships she has built with the animals and people in her care. These experiences become works of art that explore comfort, resilience, and identity.

Pollination & Connection with Helen Klebesadel

Helen Klebesadel is a Madison-based visual artist and educator best known for her environmental and surreal watercolors that push the traditional boundaries of scale, content, and technique. She has exhibited her watercolors nationally and internationally, including through the U.S. Arts in the Embassies Program.

One thing we continue to come back to in working with artists, is how often creativity becomes a source of therapy, a place to process life and the experiences of the world in our own individual ways. A deeper reflection of how we can learn about ourselves, intentionally and intuitively, noticing what others might pass by, and choosing to observe a little longer. Understanding that not all creative practices begin with the intention to produce something.
