Who am I? That is a question that often tempts me to digress into something almost philosophical. Here, however, I will try to give a more focused answer and introduce myself briefly. I was born in the early 1980s—during the so-called "Autumn of the GDR"—as the son of a stonemason. Today, I live with my wife and our children in a rather dreary small town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. My day job is in the security sector for a federal agency, and I would never describe myself as an artist. Rather, I see myself as someone who often views the world from a slightly different perspective—a perspective that is frequently reflected in my images, thoughts, and words.

To be honest, there are times when I don't really know exactly "who I am" myself. Ultimately, I simply want to be a good husband and father.
