About the Event

Meet us Where We Are, to converse, create, reflect, and grow.

This is a shared space for creative expression, cultural reflection, and collective care. Each issue holds space for where we find ourselves: in culture, in nature, in our communities, and in moments of healing.

Through art, writing, exhibitions, and shared documentation, we explore how people tend to the world, and one another. We are here to follow the journey of how communities care and evolve over time.

Where We Are Magazine (Issue One) | OPEN CALL

Submissions are now open for the third issue of Where We Are Magazine, launching in September 2026.

Where We Are was created as a place to slow down and reflect through creativity, to hold context, lived experience, and conversation. This magazine is about documenting the moments we are living in, through art, writing, and shared creative exploration.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Visual art (drawing, painting, photography, collage, mixed media, digital work)

  • Writing (essays, reflections, short-form writing, poetry)

  • Community collage contributions created through our monthly prompts

  • Experimental, process-based, or in-progress work

  • Work centered on culture, identity, justice, language, disability, care, nature, resistance, and lived experience is welcome.
