Wells Landing Back to School Bash & Yard Sale 🎉

Get ready to kick off the school year with fun and excitement at our Wells Landing Back to School Bash! Join your neighbors for a day packed with activities for the whole family:

Community-Wide Yard Sale: Declutter your home and find new treasures while supporting your neighbors!

🎒 School Supply Giveaways: Make sure your kids are ready to succeed with essential school supplies. (LIMITED TO WELLS LANDING RESIDENTS ONLY)

🚚 Food Truck: Enjoy delicious bites from a featured food truck right at the front of the neighborhood.

📸 Back to School Photos: Capture memories with professional or DIY photo opportunities.

🎈 Other Fun Activities: Little Free Library Opening Ceremony, music, and surprises to celebrate the new school year!

Date: July 26th, 2025

Time: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

✅ RSVP REQUIRED:

• Register your children to be entered into the school supply giveaway.

• Register your home if you want to participate in the yard sale.

  • When we have all the homes RSVP'd for the Yard Sale, we will put together a map of participating yards so that neighbors and guests know where to find second-hand treasures!

  • DEADLINE FOR YARD SALE RSVP: July 15th, 2025

TIMELINE FOR THE EVENT:

8:00 AM

• Residents are invited to begin setting up for the yard sale at 8am or earlier if preferred.

• The food truck will arrive at 8am to begin setting up, so hopefully by 8:30-9:00am, they will be setup and ready to go. We are looking for a Coffee Truck to kick-off the morning.

  • We are reaching out to food trucks, but if there are any residents that have a coffee truck or food truck, please reach out!

• The food truck will be parked at the front of the neighborhood, in the parking lot.

9:00 AM

• Back to School Minis will begin for kids and parents that are interested. We will announce the photographer and rates as soon as we have confirmation, and agreements in place.

10:00 AM

• Little Free Library Opening Ceremony! Confluence Community has donated a Little Free Library to the neighborhood to be used as a Community Board for residents to see upcoming events, as well as promote literacy and deepen connections among residents in Wells Landing.

• Giveaways begin after the ceremony!

  • We will likely do the giveaways in the parking lot at the front of the neighborhood, but depending on the number of RSVPS, we will also consider doing them in the park. We will keep you posted as the events gets near!

11:00 AM

• We are also looking for a Food Truck that serves lunch. Whether that be a Coffee Truck that serves food or another food truck. Lunch Truck will begin at 11am.

1:00 PM

• Residents can begin breaking down their Yard Sale setup, or continue selling if there is plenty of traffic and things to sell.

• This is just the time that we will conclude our portion of the event.

We will share more details and information as we get closer to the event date!

🤝 How You Can Help:

• Donate school supplies or funds to support our giveaways.

• Volunteer to help with setup, activities, or cleanup on event day.

Volunteer Tasks:

• Greeters & Direction Guides: Welcome residents and guests, answer questions, and guide them to different activity areas around the neighborhood.

• Food Truck Liaison: Direct food trucks to their spots, manage lines to minimize congestion, check in with food truck staff during the event, and assist with any needs.

  Photo Line Assistant: Help organize the line for photos, collect resident information so photos match contacts, and keep the process moving smoothly.

• Emcee/Announcer: Serve as the speaker for the event, make announcements about activities, yard sale highlights, and giveaway winners, and keep the energy up!

• Giveaway Coordinator: Help set up and organize school supplies or other giveaways, track registrations, and distribute items as giveaways are announced.

• Yard Sale Map Assistant: Pass out maps of participating yard sale homes, answer questions about locations, and help residents or visitors find specific sales.

• Games & Activities Helper: Supervise and assist with any planned activities for kids or families, ensuring everyone has fun and stays safe.

• Setup & Breakdown Crew: Assist with setting up tables, tents, signage, and decorations before the event, and help clean up afterward to leave the neighborhood clean.

• Donation Collection Helper: Staff a donation drop-off point for school supplies or event support, organize collected items, and thank donors.

• Volunteer Check-In Coordinator: Manage the volunteer sign-in station, hand out name tags or assignments, and keep track of who’s helping.

• Parking Monitor: Guide vehicles to designated parking areas, help avoid traffic jams, and keep driveways and emergency access clear.
