About the Role
Internship for the Artist of the Month Program Support
Length: 6 months (flexible)
Type: Volunteer / Learning-based (virtual or hybrid depending on location)
Overview:
The Artist of the Month Program is completely free to artists and is created for artists by artists. The program is designed to highlight creativity, support artists, and foster authentic community connections. This internship is designed to create learning opportunities for creative career paths while supporting creatives and building community. This opportunity is best for those interested in brand development, project management, content creation, and community building.
What You’ll Learn:
How to prepare and publish artist features, interviews, and articles
Social media engagement and content planning for creative programs
How to cultivate community between artists and audiences
Collaboration and communication skills working directly with featured artists
Brand development and storytelling for grassroots creative projects
Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing Artist of the Month content (social posts, graphics, interviews, zines)
Support communication and engagement with featured artists
Help track and maintain program engagement
Contribute ideas for community-building strategies
Attend monthly check-ins and creative planning sessions
Ideal Candidate:
Interest in art, writing, photography, design, or community building
Reliable communication and follow-through
Eager to learn, experiment, and collaborate in a supportive environment

Requirements
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Access to a computer, internet, and basic creative tools (Canva, Google Docs, etc.)
Ability to commit 5 hours per week for internship tasks
Willingness to work independently while staying connected with the team
Respect for diverse artists, creative expressions, and community values
Open to feedback and reflective learning throughout the program
Openness to learning, collaborating, and receiving mentorship.
You do not need to be enrolled in college to apply, this is a learning opportunity for all ages.

The Confluence Creative Collective is dedicated to uplifting artists, nonprofits, and grassroots projects through storytelling, design, and intentional community building.
Our work centers on creating spaces for authentic connection, providing mentorship and technical support, and amplifying voices that often go unheard in mainstream art spaces. We build programs like the Artist of the Month to honor and support artists.
