1. Purpose & Scope
Confluence Community exists to foster connection, collaboration, learning, and mutual support across art, nature, and community-centered work.
Membership is an invitation to participate in a living, evolving community, not a transactional service, promotional platform, or guarantee of outcomes.
By joining Confluence Community, members agree to engage in good faith, respect community values, and understand that this space prioritizes care, reciprocity, and collective growth over speed, metrics, or individual gain.
These Terms & Conditions apply to:
Individual members
Organizational members
Partners, collaborators, and contributors

2. Nature of Membership
Membership in Confluence Community:
Is participatory, not passive
Is relationship-based, not transactional
Does not guarantee visibility, sales, funding, or promotion
Does not function as an agency, marketing firm, or paid service provider
While we offer opportunities for sharing work, collaboration, and exposure, these opportunities are contextual, curated, and capacity-based, not entitlements.
3. Membership Tiers & Participation
Membership tiers reflect levels of engagement and support, not status or hierarchy.
All members:
Are encouraged to participate respectfully in community spaces
May submit events, updates, artwork, or news for consideration
Understand that submissions are reviewed based on alignment, timing, and capacity
Higher-tier memberships may include:

However, no membership tier guarantees inclusion in specific exhibitions, campaigns, or features.

10. Communication, Accountability & Healthy Participation
Open Communication
Members are expected to communicate openly and respectfully when participating in programs, collaborations, or shared initiatives.
If a member experiences:
Misalignment
Dissatisfaction
Capacity changes
Accessibility needs
A desire to step back
We ask that they communicate this directly with the Confluence Community team whenever possible.
Stepping Back or Leaving
We recognize that capacity changes, life happens, and needs evolve. Members may step back or leave at any time.
When possible, we ask members to communicate changes in participation so expectations can be adjusted respectfully and community relationships can be closed with care.
Healthy Conflict Resolution
Disagreements and misunderstandings are a natural part of community-building.
Members agree to:
Raise concerns directly when possible
Participate in constructive dialogue
Approach conflict with curiosity, accountability, and respect
This does not require remaining in spaces that feel unsafe, it asks for communication when circumstances allow.
Ghosting & Disengagement
Non-responsiveness, disappearance during active collaborations, or abandonment of agreed-upon participation without communication (“ghosting”) may result in:
Removal from specific projects or programs
Loss of access to certain collaborative opportunities
Review of membership status if patterns persist
Members are not penalized for needing to step back. Communication is the key expectation, not constant availability.
